DAWN HARRIS SHERLING, M.D. is an internal medicine physician and a writer of both fiction and non-fiction. Not Quite Dead is her debut novel. She is a Florida native and after surviving ten brutal New England winters, returned to her home state. She lives in South Florida with her husband, two children, and their dog, who, in an ambitious twist, has trained the family to bring her the ball whenever requested.
She is currently working on a non-fiction book exploring how the Italians have gotten it right when it comes to food and Americans have gotten it wrong, resulting in one of the highest rates of Irritable Bowel Disease (IBS) in the world. The book will paint a picture of a better, more joyful way of eating, while conquering IBS symptoms. Eat like an Italian, not a caveman!
When she’s not writing, teaching, or seeing patients, she will read just about anything, but particularly enjoys a good mystery, chick lit, and an occasional classic. She also enjoys binge-watching series featuring superheroes and misunderstood villains with her family.
Caffeine and political outrage keep her going.
